Ethical Eating: Hold the Calamari!

We are the middle of Fairtrade Fortnight here in the U.K.  Two weeks set aside to raise shoppers’ consciousness.  Meanwhile, it’s estimated 40% of the squid served up on U.S. dinner plates comes from the work of modern-day slaves working on boats in New Zealand fishing waters.  People rave about calamari, but I’ve never been a fan of squid.  How about you?
